Diane SquiresSoprano Diane Squires maintains a busy performance schedule in the Bay Area. She made her Solo Opera debut as Monica in The Medium and later appeared as Lucy in The Telephone. She recently appeared with Mission City Opera as the soprano soloist in Handel’s Messiah and as Dorabella in Cosi fan Tutte. Her past performances include Olympia in North Bay Opera’s Les Contes d’Hoffman, Frasquita in Bay Shore Lyric Opera’s Carmen and the title role in Lucia di Lammermoor with Capitol Opera of Sacramento. She was a winner in the 2002 San Jose Opera Guild vocal competition and appeared as a guest artist with the SJSU Symphony as the Queen of the Night in a program of excerpts from The Magic Flute. Her recent engagements include Constanza in Abduction from the Seraglio with California Chamber Opera and a return to Solo Opera’s stage as Laetitia in The Old Maid and the Thief. |
