
Katherine Elizabeth ChapinOrginally from San Jose, she graduated from Notre Dame de Namur University with a BA in Liberal Studies and minors in both French and Business. She has been seen in both opera and musical theatre, including Puccinis Tosca, Mozarts Le nozze di Figaro, Strauss Die Fledermaus and Bizets Les Pêcheurs des perles with Opera San José, Purcells Dido & Aeneas, Offenbachs La Vie Parisienne, Reginald de Kovans Robin Hood, Rodgers & Hammersteins Oklahoma, the English comedy Me & My Girl, Walton Jones 1940s Radio Hour, as Dolly Tate in Irving Berlins Annie Get Your Gun, and as Jacks Mom in Sondheims Into the Woods. She has also done scenes from Carmen (Mercedes), The Marriage of Figaro (Marcellina), Gilbert & Sullivans Patience (Jane), The Mikado, and The Merry Widow. Upcoming performances include the 2004-2005 season with Opera San José. |
